Client didn't turn up today but luckily my pound of flesh did!

its my first attempt with any form of fake skin. This is so so different to normal skin. Way harder to tattoo in my opinion. I really struggled with getting a stencil on so ended up with bic pen. I also ended up using like a stabbing technique to get the puncture needed.

i used a filte v2 9rl t tech and 23mag curved ttech.

Im I not really happy with how this turned out but I've learnt a lot from it and next time will approach it completely different. Ill try to flog this so I can fund a new one.

critique welcome and if you've any questions let me know.

It's also not finished as I want to add background and some crap on the knuckles

Add more darks I feel like it doesn't have enough contrast.

I 100% agree it needs more contrast. I found it pretty hard to saturate solid once I'd done one pass without ripping the latex, or whatever it is made from. Joel, I got this from Barber dts, they are the European distributors, but I believe stencil stuff have them in the us, or you can order directly from them. I think its apof.com or just google a pound of flesh tattoo. Well worth a try.

if not more saturation, go for a dark background.

Just to let you know I used a coil on it today and it worke better and saturates easier too, for me anyway. So if you are tempted if say give coil a try. I'll post a pic when it's finished.
