I am taking bids on the new Prototype Treasure Chest Machine. I will be taking deposits on the new machine in the next 30 days. There is a list and a waiting period while the parts are being machined. I have the motors already from Germany, no wait on them. All parts are US made by the same shops who make my Rapier parts. The new machine will have 3 strokes 2.5mm 3.2mm and 4.2mm to cover everyones liking. The machine will run from zippy to slow and punchy depending on the stroke you use. There will be 4 different needle give springs to mimic a coil machine and give the artist more control of their machine. I'm thinking in June the machines will be ready to ship.

Its just the 3d model so some parts are missing. More as we finish the drawings for the 3d images.

I don't dig that style of chuck all that much but, this one just made the top 2 list for my first 'real' rotary.

I prefer that style to some others as I occasionally use drop in tubes, and that style works well.

Nice.

It's just a little to bad that these nice machines are looking pretty much the same now but, I guess it's inevitable with the working mechanisms.
I want one!!! or 5!

Updates on the new machine will be coming out next week. Everything is in production and running smoothly. Motors came in the other day and are ready to go as soon as the machined parts get here. I will be posting a date ASAP for all you guys who have reserved your machines. Thanks for the business The Pirate.

Is the stroke length on each machine permanent? Then you can change between 4 different 'springs' to your liking?

tattooedpirate2
06-28-2011, 05:23 PM
Stroke lengths are adjustabe in the machine. It is changed by moving the connecting rod to a different hole in the fron of the crank. There are no other pieces need to change your cranks stroke. The springs will have to be changed by myself for you. The springs are real small and have to go in a certain way. So for your warranty to be honored I need to do the service on the machines. I can pretty much hit the nail on the head by dicussing with you what you want the machine to do.

Here's the first one off the line. It took some extra time but it's the best machine I've designed. All parts are made in the USA except the bearing and the German motor. It weighs 3.25 ounces and is the quietest machine I've ever heard. I will be building all week to get out the ones that are spoken for. I have a few left for sale I will be taking orders next week.4003

I'm building my fingers to the bone getting everyones machine for delivery. I will be sending out all the balance invoices Monday morning after the hurricane is done with us. I've got my genarator gased up so it won't hold me up on the builds. I will get a break from tattoos other than the video I'm shooting Saturday on all the cool stuff I put in this machine. Everything is so solid and bulletproof in every way. I am having some more springs made right now for some different gives if people want to change theirs out lighter or heavier. I hope everyone loves them as much as I am.

Will have a Rapier 2 in my arsenal tomorrow (Thank you Gangstajay) and just got off the phone with Cary, GREAT guy.
Rarely is it that a builder gives you advice and is willing to support a machine that you buy from someone else, even though it's his. Usually builders WANT you to buy the machine from them, I mean they still support their machine, but seem happier to help you if you bought it from them or one of their distributors. Ya know what I'm saying? maybe it's not coming out right, But Cary Has a new fan so far based on his willingness to help me with his machine. Can't wait for tomorrow and run it!!

I tattooed a large skull on my roomate with the first one off the line and the machine lines and graywashes like no ones business. I was amazed how well they prototype runs and performs right out of the cnc. I am enjoying building and blueprinting each one for the individual artist. I am offering both fast and torque motors for the job at hand. liners and gray wash machines with the short stroke are zippy machines and the long stroke color machines are the high torque motors for power, power and more power.

Ready to buy!! I sent you a pic of the one I got today so maybe you can tell me what it is.
Kinda bummed, it was supposed to be a Rapier 2, but no fault to you. I just went by what I was told.
Russ
What I received was/is a Rapier 2. After sending the pic earlier it was/is confirmed.

The video will be done when I color the piece and I will be posting it on the forum.

Cary - your a legend, I used the treasure chest today, all day and wow it performs even better than my Rapier2. I cant upload the pics till monday, but i finished a backpiece that was lined with a Rapier2 2weeks ago, and its was great, light, well balanced, no bedding in period - perfoms straight away. My Rapier is still a little tight, but the Treasure Chest is perfect already.

I did a Black & Grey session ( 2.5 hours ) using a 9mag and it was perfect - my one and only "complaint" ......... its too quiet, seriously im gonna tape a coil machine sound track to play in the background so the customer knows i'm working behind him ;) no joke he couldn't hear it - but he could feel it ;)

Another guy in the studio who uses Stigmas was so impressed hes gonna order one - and i'm gonna take one more too ;)

Thanks Cary, your hard graft was worth it mate.

here the piece - not great photo and made black and white to loose the redness.
will get more in a few days

It is an evolution of all my machines in one. The performance is perfect and the longevity of the machine should be a long long time. There is'nt any metal on metal wear and the connecting rod is supported on both sides by the piston. I'm having the other 2 needle give springs made for the soft and the hard hit and will be ready next week. I am going to sell a 4 spring set for the artist for $25.00 to cover all 3 gives and a back up return spring to cover all the artists needs.
