After years of loyal service, the motor shaft on one of my Gen V's broke yesterday. Can't claim a defect or an accident, last time it had an incidental rendezvous with the floor was 2009...and has done hundreds of jobs since. I shot an email over to Swashdrive, but I just wanted to ask if anyone knew what the specs are on the motor as I'm sure there have been several innovations in motors of the same dimension and +VDC feed since and would be interested in seeing what benefits a newer one may offer if any at all. I prefer to keep it a color packer, but getting that same torque I've been getting @12.5VDC down to 8VDC would be a sweet spot.

you know those motors really come alive at high volts-they are a brush less motors-they can be pushed up to 18v max
