I run mine right about there all the time, I have a cx1-g2 and never have heating issues

Probably motor slightly misaligned in the housing or locked bearing in cam...just guessing.

call the distributor, let them know whats up, and get an exchange

So the hawk grip I can run the machine no problems on the ego hawk flow grips it gets hot I'm guessing the space in the tube
