What's that mean

What's that mean Do you really think anything besides the red, purple & linework is going to hold up well?

johndameart

Um the whites ofcourse may need to be gone over but this kid has a bunch of my work from florida from about 5 6 years ago and they all have held nicely. The skin tones maybe not but the rest yes.

The caramel colors will hold too. It's about how you approach it man.

That tone also isn't teal. Is a bio seafoam and is a bit darker in person

Ok, It sounds like you have it all figured out. Have a great day.

I'm not saying I have everything all figured out. But I haven't had any issues with my tattooing as far as holding up in years. I see where the concern is but I didn't post this In the critique and it has gotten hijacked.. it's experimental. He'll if something needs to be changed, then I have that option to change something. This falls Into the same category as color portraits, obviously some things won't hold over time, that's when you refresh the tattoo..

And that's the only reason why I do things like I have been is because I have seen my work years later.

johndameart

I made a statement, you asked what I meant. I told you what I meant & then you tried to defend your "experimental" work & then admitted that you "see where the concern is". You are doing tattoos that look good for a picture but that you know aren't going to stand the test of time. Yes or no?

I said in my post I see where your concern is. I'm not doubting anyone's concern because when portraits came about and how they were done raised a lot of questions on if they will hold or not. Now I've been experimenting with this stuff for about 5 years now and so far I haven't ran into anything other than skin tones or white needing to be redone. I wasn't trying to defend myself.. I more or less was stating that I've been keeping an eye on what I've done and it seemed to be working.

Not bashing you man, messaging seems more blunt than it probably is.

I don't want you to think that I am downing your work because I'm not, I think you know how to do clean tattoos that have good linework & nice color blends. I just think that you have a lot of open area that you could be taking advantage of & doing something more with. That was critique. Sorry. Look at it this way, at least I will give you my honest opinion instead of just pat you on the back every time you post something. I know that you have the ability & I think that it's time for you to take your work to the next level.

There was never a doubt that he does solid tattoos. Hopefully my opinions weren't taken that way by ANYONE.
