It may well be my advancing years that pull me to drawing old folk or it may just be I love the endearing characters that live within those wrinkled features. This was done at the studio over the last month in between appointments using an HB and A 2B mechanical pencil on letraset marker paper, A4 26937

Your portraits are incredible! How many hours do you think that you have in this one?

Than you serial , I will take a wild guess at around 5-6 hours on this one, done bit by bit , an hour here 30 minutes there. I did choose this one for its relatve simplicity as there is no background, very little hair ( what hair is in this one is not visible on transition to pc screen here) and very simple clothes, so it was a "quick" one for me . The main aim also in this was his spectacles as i struggle more with man made form over natural forms so probably spent more time there than was needed

I dont charge , I do it for fun :) Been down the commission road and didnt quite like it , I like to pick my reference and I like to pick when I do it. I find it beneficial to my tattooing doing it this way

Wish my tattooing could catch up with my drawings, late starter at all this which really can frustrate one....as you get older your brain seems to close a little:p
