For many months now I've been working on some new machines, and you may have already seen this model in use at a tattoo convention.

The NeoTat "Vivace" is a 4 ounce power house that sports a 3.5 or "bigger????" stroke lengths......I'll keep that secret for now......under 7mm

The motor and crankwheel is housed into a cartridge assembly, so it is very easy to change out. The cartridge comes equiped with a phono jack, RCA jack or clipcord.....and with the clipcord version, the pegs can be turned so the pegs are up and down or sideways.

No wires to get tangled or damaged, so it is even easier than the first NeoTats to disassemble and maintain.

And, like the original NeoTat Machine, it is fully enclosed and sanitary....no holes or windows to catch dirt and such.

A Smooth, Clean anodized aluminum Machine, the "Vivace" is Lively with lots of Spirit!

The new machines will be available in August 2011 at Hell City in Phoenix AZ.

We will not be taking advance orders on this machine, just come see us in Phoenix.

The price will be reasonable and I will give more details later.

I wasn't going to let it slip just yet but with the inquires for the new machine coming in from folks who have seen them in use..... thought I better post something about them. It is all about the testing phase......we have abused them here......drop test, over voltage test, throw test and I added a new one......run over with a truck test! See, I have taken out so much material that it looks weak and someone said "it will dent easy and jam up.....I said no it wont. So you guessed it.....I took one outside and drove my old IHC scout over it with both wheels. brought it in all scratched up and plugged it in and, voila....it ran just fine. Then loosened the screws and slipped it apart with no prob. I showed him!......and me too!

I don't recommend that you run over your machine, but I have seen some of my old machines so beat up and dented over the years that the new machine must be able to hold up just as well. If I had more time, I would do a youtube of our "testing"

But the real testing is in the field....in the trenches and with the artists. I did 12 beta machines and sent them out for trials.

If the new machine (with the option for changing the motor with the crankwheel for different stroke lenght)runs as smooth as the old neotat with less vibration you have thinked this concept to the end ! I like the easy cleaning of the neotat and the wheight of 4 oz for the new one sounds great ! When you also made the right price for the machine or single components, this machine will be more popular than the old one ! And now i will buy it :-)

Even if you have the option to swap out the stroke length you do know most people will give in and just order at least two. ;)

I'm thinking a kit with both of the stroke cartridges.
And as far as the release date, we are tooling up for the new machines and want to make sure we have inventory ready to ship on release day. And we have had a problem with delivery of parts for our current machines, and have another VMC coming in to get us up to speed. I don't like the delays in filling orders now and I can just amagine what it will be like with the new machines.

We are not Amazon.com........so we can't just overnight an order, but 3 and 4 weeks to ship just bugs the hell out of me!

Oh, and who got the "truck" model?.....I kept it for the history display.

Hell Yah! I got all of my machines in there! And I have a big glass case in the front office with different projects I have done over the last 25 or so years. I saved parts and pieces in boxes for the day I could put the junk on display, and finally did a few months back. I did all that stuff, and it blows me away.....and brings back memories.

So go ahead and make fun of me.....I'm just a silly romantic....

Here is a peek into my new cartridge system. With this, each machine will accept any stroke length by simply inserting a different motor cartridge. Go from 2.5mm, 3.5mm or 4.2mm.
Here are the three different connections.

We'll see....may be a perk of a RotaryTattoo.com forum member! We got to make more than the first couple dozen of machines first.....tooling up but have backorders for the original machines and I need to make sure those go out first.

I'll have to talk it over with the boss......lol

The weight is between 4.05 and 4.1 ounce depending on which connection and where the clipcord is the heaviest. The original machines were 5.6 and then the newer ones, I cut back the weight to 5.4
