Aluminum.. Just swapped out springs and added the weight to the a bar today and it's super great for pepper and large liners

Can anyone compare a great coil machine to Dan's Revival ? Will one need a machine for liner, and at least one more for packer/Shader just like any old coils? I am partial to Rotaries, I love his rotaries as a power liner and the DD packing for small shaders.

The revival hits like a tank I'm deff wanting to have a few to set up multiple configurations.. There really is not anything to compare his machines too.. They do what they are suppose to with ease

Can you compare with MC2 or MC14 for a liner and his DD as a packer?

I'd be really interested to know what it sounds like, a coworker of mine uses a Cleveland style tattoo machine (coil machine with no rear spring, a - bar running the whole length to a pivot point, and a rubber band wrapped around it to the bottom of the frame on the back for tension) and it sounds a little gravelly but hits nice and hard and at a slow consistent rate. I wonder if Dan ' s gets a nicely tuned coil hum or more of that cluttered sound to it as it has a coiled spring for rear tension. Looks beautiful though.

sounds like a quiet but punchy coil

Yeah, I don't understand why Dan wouldn't make these anymore! They tattoo great and everybody wants one!
I hope he changes his mind because I'm certainly planning to order more of these.

He posted that he was really bummed to see them popping up on tattoo equipment sale pages right after people received them. I guess it gave him the impression that his customers weren't happy with the machine?

he also said many were wanting to trade them back to him for sidewinders.

That's a bummer. Looked like nice, well thought out machines. I wonder if a lot of the guys that got them and didn't like them didn't have much experience with coil machines and just gave them a go b/c it was a new Kubin machine?
