I got mine yesterday, Have done 7 tattoos with it and I have to say in 23 years of tattooing, this is the first time it feels like drawing rather than tattooing! it is smooth, light and feels great holding it! all of the customers I have tattooed with it said it was very easy on the skin and almost painless. This machine is fun to use!

Brandon how does it line? The Xion is on my list of machines to pick up. Have you used the Hawk Pen or EZ Filter Pen v2 before? If so, how does it compare to those other pen machines?

I'm jealous man. Post up some work you've done with the Xion!

I'm kinda curious especially now that kwadron is starting their cartdriges line, and that Fk irons has announced disposable grips.
I've been an early adopter for both the Halo and the Edge X but had been disapointed by their machines both time and had to send them back for repair after a few days of use. I would love to support a company that seems to care about the industry but i'm kinda reluctant to take the risk one more time, even if functionality seems perfect on paper.

It lines like butter as far as I have seen in a week or so of using it. smooth action. I will post some work soon.

Now that you've had a few weeks with it, what are your thoughts?

Ive had mine since the 3rd.. and its one of the best machines ive used, it just seems to match my hand speed, not much of a learning curve like other machines.. straight in. Very strong motor, very quite, its a cheat stick, as it feels so easy to tattoo its like im cheating some how. Im colour packing at 6v with no problems. Then doing soft bng. Lining was good but i turned it up to 9v for that. Its made me smile and got me back into tattooing again.. oh im using magic moon carts. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171115/58f11169dd3ce92929cdaeb8d4b3b1cb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171115/dc5f95a9a479f0a8b09bcd5ad6b4d149.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171115/bb93a4da6121bf7848627c7042de11e9.jpg

Nice!! Can the whole entire thing (minus the motor of course) be autoclaved?

I still dig it and am loving the fact I get to use it to tattoo daily! I pullout 2 foot of clipboard cover over the entire machine and cord, tape it off at the end of the grip, tattoo with it, pull the grip off and wipe down the entire thing with madacide, There is no part of the grip left exposed after I tape it off.

Nice!! Can the whole entire thing (minus the motor of course) be autoclaved? No but im sure you can pull the drive pin out to clean.. i use full sealed carts like the cheyenne ones, so shouldnt be a problem. The motor is 10w and very powerfull so driving carts with a membrain is effortless. I also wrap the shit out of it and add a foam grip over their grip.. it would have been great to been able to pull the whole thing apart to auto clave it but you cant. Disposable grips coming early next year. So no bad.

You can take the motor out and push the drive pin forward to clean it...

So after you cover the machine with the sleeve and tape, you do your lining, then you want to do soft shading.. You need to unwrap the tape and sleeve and change the give, than wrap it all up again in the middle of tattooing?

How do you change the give in one tattoo session after everything is all wrapped up sleeve and tape?

I dont i leave it 2 down from hard. I use another machine for lining normally so it not a problem for me. But i did line with it and the motors strong unless you are so anal about give i would just leave it for everything else.. it can colour pack and soft shade without touching the give once set, just go with different volts and needle depth.

Fair enough ;). And did you get the 2.8 or 3.5 btw?It comes with 3.2 3.6 no 2.8 yet.. i use the 3.2 all the time.. goto fkirons youtube channel and watch gaston line with it. He shows both throws in action on the same tattoo with the same carts. You then can see you dont realy need to change..

Not if you use a sleeve taped to the red ring, then half a sleeve (or 1/) over the grip and over the other sleeve (you can remove the grip with gloves on - put down - remove glove - put on a new one adjust give, then put the grip back on
