Rapier 2 shit the bed...(resolved)

My Rapier 2 stopped working right in the middle of a tattoo... used a brand new clipcord, different power source, and foot pedal with no results. Its getting power because I can feel it jump when I crank up the volts and hit the pedal, its just not enough to start it running. I tried both loaded and unloaded. Anything I can do?? Snapped a liner spring yesterday and this thing breaks today... I'm going on vacation...

Have you tried calling Cary? He's not on here all the time, but has always been very helpful. I'm sure he'd be the best person to troubleshoot with.

Nah I havent yet... I sent him an email but I assumed he wouldn't answer considering the time of day. Im going to try in the morning though...

Exactly the same happend to me with a new Rapier 2 ! After i contact cary he send me a rebuild kit and i change the bearing ! Now it works great without any problem ! He have a great customer service and i am looking for one of his brand new Treasure Chest machines !

the bottom slider is slipping on the motor axel ,it needs to be tighten down is all.

How easy is this thing to put together after you take it apart? I'm afraid I'm gonna loosen a screw and it gonna explode into a thousand pieces...

If it is still brand new i would send it in to check on the bearing to.otherwise cary will walk you thru it.

Got a hold of Cary... he thinks it is the bottom bearing from what I described to him... hopefully its that easy of a fix...

Got the new bearings... took 5 min to swap em out and its as good as new... thanks for the help guys...
