Started this on my friend today. Bloodlined it and scratched in some shadows. Used my Neotat, Blitz, and a coil liner (because my coworker was testing out my blunderbuss). Looking forward to it coming together.

Did some more work on the elephant. this is the 3rd sitting.

Used RotaryWorks with a 25mag and Swash with a 9mag for some tight stuff.

Yes. The 25mag was a curved mag from GoodGuy supply. They make nice needles.

ELEPHANT UPDATE

Did some more work on the elephant. Smoothed it out a bit with another layer of black and grey.

Used my Rotary Works and my Neo Tat today.

Final installment of the elephant tattoo. I'll miss my friend. He won't be back to Canada for at least a year. He wants to be 'that guy' walkig around shirtless at as many conventions as will let him. He rocks.

Just found out that this tattoo won first place for "Best Realistic" and 2nd place for "Best Black and Grey" at the Sydney Tattoo Convention!!!!! Holy moly! I can't even describe how incredibly elated I am! Squeeeeeeeeeeee!

I like the blitz for solid fields of color. It's a long stroke, so it does a different feel of black and grey than a shorter stroke machine. It runs best around 6 ish volts, and is on the slow side, so you won't be racing along with it like a rotaryworks. It's a nice machine. I have both aluminum and brass version. :)
