We have a new machine:

This is a Tracker combined with an Axis machine, we call it the Traxis..

There are currently only 2 in existance #1 has been in the field about a month and is getting rave reviews, #2 has been sold to a rotary skeptic.

I talked him into test driving it which wound up being all of 5 hours, he bought the machine and put a deposit on Traxis #3. We have a batch

of 5 I just cut frames for and they will be hitting the website soon.

The first batch will be all brass and copper and weigh 7.5oz, on the heavy side but a couple ounces lighter than the average coil machine.

We do plan to build these out of lighter materials in the near future..

Here are a few photos of Traxis #2:

Finished the very first Traxis Lite, it weighs 140 grams or 5oz. The Ultra Lite version will be next on the list, made from Delrin..

The Traxis line of machines all have dual roller bearings on the armature pivot and the track is driven by a bearing system as well. All moving parts on these machines are fitted with high quality bearings..

The bearings and linear track drive allow the armature to remain very straight and tight, no side wobble at all resulting in a very accurate machine..

Yes, that was a Workhorse Irons machine in the demo, all of our machines will run off USB including the Traxis model..

You need to develop an app now to make it run off an ipad and allow it to be controlled.

That's an excellent idea, might have to settle for a small box with a speed control knob for the moment..
