Hey guys! Been looking over this forum for a while now, and finally joined since you guys are clearly a great community. I am currently a tattoo apprentice at Lefty's Tattoo (http://leftystattoostudio.com) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (not on the site yet, but here (http://artbymorganjc.com) is a link to my website, and another to my facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Art-by-Morgan/265568480139974)). I hope to become very adept in many tattoo styles, but have an affinity for realism and that new school 3D effect.

I am working off an Eikon ems 400, a Soba liner, Soba shader, and unknown rotary (given to me by Lefty)... I am looking to order a new and higher quality rotary in the near future (leaning towards Bishop, but you guys have opened my eyes to so many others). I have a small set of inks, Fusion primary color set, couple random eternal and intenze, and dynamic black (going to vamp that up soon).

Any advice you guys want to throw out at this newbie would be much appreciated. I have been pouring over these forums picking up as much as I can, and am excited to officially be a part of this site!

Welcome. Be careful buying rotaries... It's an addiction. I can't stop. I'd suggest a Cheyenne thunder. It's awesome and it's pretty straight forward and does everything well.

Welcome aboard! Wish I had started with the rotaries we have today, would have saved a lot of time. You'll find that rotaries have some nice advantages over coils. Hope this forum helps you out!

Nice to have you. There are a few other apprentices of members on the site as well.

Just a word of advice, don't feel hurt if some of your questions go unanswered. A good portion of the membership here feel that certain things need to be addressed by your mentor, and not by members of a forum.

DO make some brownie points by posting work in the critique sections. Those threads may help you a lot.

Thank you for the warm welcome guys and gals! I will try and get a picture tomorrow at work, and get some tattoos posted in the critique are in the coming days. And of course Alie K, there is some advice that can be given online, and much that is best given in person by my mentor.
