Any idea? My mentor gave it to me, he had it given to him by someone else... pretty sure it is just a cheap swiss knock off:

It is a cheap swiss knock off. People call it the stealth, but that winds up as a generalization for swiss knock offs. The real swiss has a round motor and has swiss made and a serial number on the bottom. The stealth isn't a bad machine as it won't scare you away from rotaries. My wife has two one long stroke and one medium stroke. she likes the long stroke better. My advice is use it till it dies and buy a better machine when you can afford it. The real swiss will almost definitely make that look like a cheap machine in contrast. But there are a lot of machines out there, have fun trying them all. Remember if you buy a new machine and don't like it, you can most likely sell it or trade it here.. most likely not the stealth though.

Definitely wasn't planning on selling this guy to anyone. I'll be buying a Rotary Works machine here in the next month or two. One of the tattooers in my shop has one and loves it. My boss loves his Stigmas and told me I should get one when I can afford it. I would also like to try out Neo-Tat's machines. This machine has been great for black and grey, it's super smooth, but when it comes to color it's junk. I can't pack color for anything with it so I went back to the Soba Workhorse Iron for that. I'm still using this one for black and grey until I can get a new rotary!

Rotary works is a color packer and a half. Get the 12volt motor. It needs less amps and is more compatible with power supplies. I have a one off one piece rotary works ( no give ) and it colors fast.

A good metaphor for amps vs volts is this:
Say you have a motor that runs 9 volts at say 0.5 amps. No think of that as a single lane road with 9 cars. You can get this 9 cars 1 at a time safely and there won't be a problem getting 9 more through afterwards.

Now say a 2amp Motor at 6 volts. Now you have a 6 lane highway and can take 6 cars at once. Now your power supply has to provide all 6 cars at once. This can be taxing as some power supplies have a 2amp protection circuit.
