you are going to love that rapier they run great!They tend to run better with one band, the rapiers maker sent me some longer bands then the standard size and they work much better.
I will have to try the neuma ones to did not think of that!

They work well with a size 8 (neuma) band just above the motor housing too :)

yeah, I have been playing with it a bit today and I think one rubber band seems to work best. Although I put a drop of oil on the cam and one drop on slide in the back and then 2 rubberbands didn't bog down the machine at low voltage (5-6 volts)... I'll look into the number 8 bands as well

Thanks to my main man "The Limey" I have added another rotary to my box of toys..Its a blunderbuss with dales rotaryworks wrap, alongside my reworked (by cary) Rapier I (3mm stroke,RCA jack,and some other secret tinkerings)...I love both these machines and I use them pretty much exclusively now..next up..a rotaryworks and a neotat..
