Does anywhere sell these? or do people usually just curve them by hand, or make their own jigs from straight mag ones?

Lauro Paulini used to do some nice ones,I think Unimax and Dermographics hold them aswell.

Thanks Peter. Non of them seem to sell curved jigs now. I might just have to make one.

Needlejig curved mag jigs are awesome, I have two that are still used that I bought from him at a inkslingers convention about 12 years ago.

For really large curved mags I use the concave of a plastic spoon

I use a circle template...cut in half where the circles are...makes any degree you want, any size mag you want. Works better then anything else I have tried.8006At a cost of like $3.00...fuck those jigs!

I can vouch for the Needlejig curved mag jig...I haven't made needles in a few years but if I ever do again I still have mine. Its awesome.

haha. genius! that's a great idea. I was looking to make a curved bug one day and needed something...tried a few different things but that worked out the best. I don't bother with jigs because they slow me down. The guy who taught me to make needles does it (curves) with a razor blade and a flip of the wrist, gets them right every time.
