a GOOD rca jack cord

I am now on my third cable from eikon.. in four four months - who makes a decent cable that doesn't turn to shit after a month or the first time you run over it with a chair.
I'm tired of having to parts out the eikon ones. HATE this shit.

I switched to mini headphone jacks and never looked back. They lock into place and a clip cord is only a Radio Shack away.

i actually buy the guitar cables at guitar center. a pack of a 10ft chord is like $15-$20 bux. split them apart cause they come connected n u get 2 for that price. they last me a good 6 months or longer but I'm careful with them n store them safely. not saying ur not, I'm just a nerd with them.lol. also, it helps for me having a chord less foot pedal bc i can go further with the chord n have less chance of rolling over the chord. either way, if u have a sam ash or guitar center by u, its just more convenient than ordering them/

those radio shack ones are cheap and durable, i also have a nicer one that came from a machine I purchased that kept sliding off I just pinched it a bit with some pliers and works great now

I get a good life span out of my Eikon's. It has a lot to do with the care that you treat them.
Avoid torsion of the cable and they will cause the wire to snap or short out. Any cable will give in at some point.

But if you keep having the same recurring problem you can use the regular audio RCAs (female/ female) like eric said and split them.

You can even leave the 1/4 jack in the unit and all you need to replace are the cheap RCA cables when they go bad.

But based on my experience most cheap RCA cables won't clamp as good as the Eikon ones. I guess for rotaries since there is less vibration it's not that crucial.

Been using RCAs from radio shack for about a year. Bought the extended 3year warranty for a buck. No problems yet but guaranteed I'm gonna use that warranty. Either they shit out(be surprised if they don't) or I find their breaking point...

Thanks for all the feedback guys, i just raped the Eikon cable for the jack and sautered it to an old Lukcys clipcord, bobs now my uncle. thanks
