Well the power goes from the power supply through the RCA jack into the motor and a that spins.....

;P

Seriously though really good so far. I scored a few 80's and 90's Canon motors so thought I'd try one. I was going to do a simple lightweight direct drive but thought about the sweet John Clark rotaries and... Anyways I've started changing the armature with a sturdier setup and I'm gonna mess around with it again later tonight and post some more pics...

John's design is very clever, this is an interesting take on his.

Update I just rebuilt it , seems to run real nice with a pretty long 6mm stroke with some controlled give, I plan on trying it out on some color soon http://img.tapatalk.com/a6935815-01c4-b5c7.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/a6935815-01d1-a9e2.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/a6935815-01ec-bb22.jpg

Popped the machines cherry today to color in this healed outline. I was real happy with it :D
It blended surprisingly nice and the give was just right, the carbon frame bends ever so slightly under load to allow a good amount of give. I'm usually of little machine give crew, but color blending on soft stretchy ribs n such a long stroke, give machine shines.

Thanks guys it was a fun project. Luckily I had two of those motors, I accidentally snapped the shaft off one Doh!!!
Gotta get me a garage or workshop to set up all my machining tools again, things have been in storage since my divorce.... I miss my drill press!!!
