Q. Are Copic Markers lightfast?
A. No. They are a dye. they will fade in harsh light unless they are protected from direct light.
Like other alcohol based markers, many colors will fade if exposed to light for extended periods of time. To preserve your art work it is recommended that you make colored copies from the originals. If you do wish to display your original image then use a clear plastic folder for storage. This will assist in blocking out harmful UV rays though protected drawings will eventually start to

Well i got myself some Copics that arrived today and heres my first attempt at using them...I know its a bit rough and for some reason my permant pen that i lined the owl with decided to bleed when touched by the colour...Is this normal? or are there better pens out there for outlining the piece first?...And i find it hard to blend reds into another colour!
Im going to give this a good trial and see if i can improve enough to be truly happy with future pieces...As i said its a bit rough so go easy on me chaps!

normal canson 140 g/m2

Canson watercolor paper? I'm still trying to find a paper that I like using with copic markers. I want to buy a few more so that I get the right 'families' so that they blend well.

Actually normal paper but the 140g/m2....some people say the watercolor one drains too much from the markers and i guess from this principle, it should be harder to blend...

Use arches hot press.
