So I own 2 slingshots. one V1, and a one off one. I recently replaced the tubing on the rear part of the A-bar with some MEDIUM silicone RC fuel line. It turned it into a whole new ball game. The machine had a solid hit, and hit with a little more give. More like a coil machine. but still has that rotary feel. Just a tip for any owner or an A bar driven Special Technique or WHI rotary. this mod will change the feel of the machine totally.

PM me for an questions. Ill be glad to help.

The Green hose in the picture is Generic RC silicone MEDIUM fuel line. It costs maybe $1usd a foot. Pick it up at your local hobby store. You could also use different thickness aquarium tubing. Or something hard for a less to no give feel.

Before the white slingshot was a very hard hit. After it now has a very spongy feel kind of like a long stroke coil shader.

The workhorse rotary it affected it in similar ways. My co worker has the WHI rotary.

The aluminum one has a very Long and soft hit, but it was very loose. After it now has a soft and smooth hit. I use it mainly for color blending and black and grey. It is a one off. You may have seen it on ebay recently. But I came to my senses and did these mods to them. now I love them even more than I did before.

He's actually the one who told me try different tubing.

one thing to add. The original tubing had a little bit of play in the drive bar. and it was an aquarium tubing type of hose. The stuff I put on is a soft silicone tubing.

Cool let me know how it works. I did another mod to the slingshot. with a slighty harder tubing. the green stuff was very spongy. ran great. but i wanted a harder hit.

The silver one however runs AMAZING!

I used the carbon axis with the silicon tube yesterday to do a tattoo and it was a good improvement to the machine. I was lineing with it and it seemed even smoother then before.

I feel like it makes it smoother. I enjoy it much better than before. I use it for shading only though.
