It looks like it uses a rubber armature like the Neuma Hybrid rather than no grommets. I may be wrong but I see the inner anchoring hints. It looks like it's plastic mold injected. It looks like an Eikon RCA will not fit in all
the way in or at least that's what I can see.
looks nice.

Would be cool if the loop of the needle bar clips in the diamond though. .

It uses a Faulhaber 17x17 motor same I use in my MR02 looks like it is going to use a flexible nipple as well, same as the Action Rotary.

First impressions i like but ......
Right-I'm scraping my head.... Forgive me for no imagination but how do you attach the needle bar, I can only assume that there is an extra part-like a demi armature bar that drops into the "black square" love the shape, must be super light, really curious

cant say I'm a fan of the plastic moulded machines. The last one I used was a nightmare to tighten the tube clamp. Really slippery also so either had to over-tighten which eventually caused a 'snap'. Or wrapping something around your actual tubes which then made it even more of a ball-ache to sterilize. I don't think I'll be purchasing one anyhow. I do however like the look of it. If it was maybe aluminium I'd give it a shot.

yes that inside chuck looks realy slick like your tube would slip.I would prob take sandpaper to it if had one to rough it up. the swashdrives are plastic but not so slick n smooth and your not bending the plastic together like this one-but might work like a charm-only the builder knows that.

I buy my atomizors for my electric cig from a company called eGo and they have almost the same identical logo, I wonder if its related or just coinsident. Does anybody on here own one or used one?

If you add a machine from this (http://team-ego.co.uk/?post_type=product) page rather than the individual item page it seems to work just fine.

the Power triangle insert system to simulate coil springs sounds cool. Plastic housing is a minus to me though

Yeah not a big fan of the plastic. But at least it's cool colors. Haha.

Not too crazy about the plastic vise. I do think the finish and the colors are cool but IMO i wouldnt buy a plastic machine at that price. Especially without seeing any kind of endurance testing results from the company putting them out. Maybe its the paranoid engineer in me but I wouldnt buy something without a track record.

So had a play with the ego today, first impressions were I liked the look of it, even though it was plastic the finish was a very high quality. It was crazy light, i use a whip and i would say the ego was probably lighter.(although it wasn't with me to compare). The motor housing is pretty small meaning it balances nice probably close to a nuema.
3 of the Triplesix guys were there using the ego,2 colour and 1 black and grey piece, with each artist having a preferred setup and producing some very high quality work, voltage seemed to range between 5 and 10v.
I got to feel the give system on Bez's machine he had the hard black triangle at the front so it acted like a hard back spring, so the needle bar returned without any flex. He said if he had a softer triangle in its place it causes a slower return and also a slightly longer stroke as the give allows the needle to travel further out of the tube.
At the back he had the softest yellow triangle and i was surprised at the level of give it had as I wasn't sure if these small rubber pieces would allow much movement. Feeling the individual rubbers out of the machine their was a big difference between the hardest and softest.
I guess my only concern would be that it might take a while to find a setup that works as 6 different rubbers for front and back along with running speed, but i guess it takes a while to get use to any machine.
Over all i was impressed with the machine and ordered one, waiting time is around 3 weeks on first batch if anyone is interested.
Hope this helps anyone who is undecided

Does anyone know if all the inserts are included with each machine?

turnrock
08-06-2012, 12:13 PM
now you gotta keep track of 6 tiny inserts..i cant even find my keys most days

Richard Peel
08-06-2012, 02:12 PM
Yeah you get all six front and back with the machine thats 12 pieces of rubber, although i guess if you settle on a set up you might never change them

Gonna order one soon, can't wait. It being made of plastics doesn't worry me, its still gonna grip a tube just fine. having 12 tiny little rubber triangles is one more bag of parts to keep track of, but like coils, once i find a setup i like i don't mess with it again. hoping it works well with the ttech setup.
