We've been working with a company that manufactures lubricants and testing several oils.
We've nailed a product that meets all our requirements and makes the Spektra Halo run like no other.

This product works amazing when combined with PTFE grease.

We Found out that PTFE grease is good to lubricate but not when working in between tight tolerances between parts.
We've shown that it wears off fast and in fact is abrasive after a while when particles of aluminum and delrin bond to the grease.

This new oil mixes with the PTFE grease making the lube last longer and penetrate with easy in between the parts.
It is also easy to apply because it doesn't require you take the machine apart.
Just put a drop inside the tip of the slider, another drop around the armature
and another drop on the back of the give adjustment know. (video coming up)

Run the machine for 6 seconds at 15 volts and it will distribute with ease.

The substance will go for sale in on our site around next week.
and for limited time we will ship a bottle for free to forum members (just pay shipping).
Available end of November.

Some of the benefits from this oil:
- Is thick and only small amounts are required.
- Eliminate any noise from your machine, making it run super silent
- Reduces any residual vibration
- Cleans the mechanisms while lubricating
- Machine stay lubed longer
- Easy to apply. No need to take machine apart
- Performs 10 times better than just using PTFE grease
- Works in conjunction your PTFE grease
- Stays in the machines. No dripping (if applied correctly)
- May suit other rotaries (please refer to manufacturer first)
- Made in the USA

for inquiries email us at [email protected] around end of november.
It will be also available on our sites for purchase.

Gaston.

Cool man ya I noticed a big difference in my halo when I used extra lube in where the armature bar goes into the slide helped a lot to make it more silent and to let the give work better because it could slide more freely in the slot. :)

Yes, but this oil is better than most lubes we tried. It also assist to keep all moving part clean.

Maybe we could split shipping. I bet a few of us here in Germany could have Gaston send the samples to one of us and then resend them from one of us and split the shipping charges.

Use USPS priority either the USPS flat rate international envelope or the small box, its less then 6.00$ USD. if you ship with paypal/shipping its as low as 5.40 to ship that way, any where in the world..

and not to step on your thread, but i have been using a mix of ptfe grease and airtool oil for a while now works great, but recently just dropped the PTFE and only use the airtool oil daily.
a drop each day when shop opens, keeps things running smooth, and noticed a huge change in the ware of parts over the last month..

Gaston, looking to take advantage of your Black Friday sale and pick up a third Halo, and some rubber bands. Can I piggy back the lube on those items for shipping? Will be ordering Sunday or Monday most likely.

Also, I will be in the USA over the Holiday if you can ship to me then it would save some money on shipping.

From what I can see, it is the lubricant that is now on the website, so I would just order it. If you want to make sure that it is the new one, email [email protected] to be completely sure, but IM almost positive that it is the one on The website.

Here is the direct link. The Lubricant pack comes with 1oz of PTFE as well http://www.fkirons.com/shop/lubricants/magic-lube-kit-5ml-oil-1oz-ptfe/
Althout the new bottle is shorter but fatter than the one on the picture. Same 5ml though.

Gaston, great work pairing this lubricant with the Halo. Both mine are running even smoother, quieter, and with less vibration than before, especially when running at 7.5 volts or above. This stuff works great, and now its on every one of my machines with a slider. Awesome customer service as always. Happy Holidays homie! Mick~

I know how to lube it with Superlube, but this has an oil concistancy & is to be an additive to the Superlube. I for some reason always have felt the need to do things by the directions. I just want to see how many drops & where to apply them exactly.

johndameart

I hear you serial, I'm much the same way. I'm probably borderline OCD. I'd like to see a video w/ the exact recommended application procedure too, but I wouldn't wait if you already have some. There aren't that many places to apply it, the slide and maybe a drop or two on the armature pin slot. I guess I could see how too much might be bad, but a little would be better than none right? So error on the side of caution and just use a minimal amount on the slide (2 drops?). Or you could just throw caution to the wind, be intrepid and put 4 drops! :-)

I'll just wait, I have a few dozen choices of other toys to choose from. I'm not under the impression that it would be detrimental to use the Halo until a video comes out. It's a lube improvement not a savior from catastrophe. Haha

Got mine today and applied it right away. I have to admit, i was skeptical that a little oil would make a difference but it did! Smoother, less vibration, noise is almost silent now, and i noticed that the give seems a little more springy if that makes sense.
