we finally finished our new adjustable stroke length system. the stroke can vary from 2.5mm to 5.5mm. thats why we didn't have direct drives available in the pasts months......
you can adjust the stroke length without having to take apart the machine or change any parts.it has a measuring chart on the side of the excenter so you can see what stroke length you have it set up for.
as all direct drives , the stroke is very important, depending what you want to do with it and how you want to use it, you will find that he stroke length makes HUGE DIFFERENCES.
i am not going to number all the things you can do with a direct drive as most of you here know what we are talking about.... very silent , very useful beasts to have in your table.
so after pro types and testing , here they are, I have limited run of these , as you can see we are using the same frames of our other DD's.
22mm maxom swiss motor,
7075 aircraft aluminum
annodized in black, blue or red
clipcord or rca
adjustable stroke 2.5mm-5.5mm
10mm german sealed bearing

That IS clever. It's one of those things that is so simple when you look @ it, because it makes so much sense. Congratulations on that one.

Fantastic engineering, and a great addition to the ever evolving Rotary Market...The "voltage band with" would be interesting to know.... For example, if it was running at 2.5mm for say soft shading,"the bottom of its voltage range" and "took to the extremes" with say, for example running it at 5.5mm for lining the Ribs.....What is the voltage range...Looking at the quality of the design, vibration will be limited, and mostly dispersed and adsorbed....Well done Roman..

Thank you guys!!! Ill be prepairing some notes on the stroke and speed relation(volts) and its different uses, as guidelines as Soon as i can. I have it all in my head, but need to find time to sit down And write it, but like we all know , each artist is different , so it Will work as a rough reference Only! The nice thing is That everyone can find That sweet spot some where in this machine!
And once more Thanks for your kind words!!

I've got mine set at 2.5 at the moment and can do some nice B&G with it. The machine with its' Maxon motor runs superbly, needless to say it's a Roman HM machine so the build quality is as you'd expect ,very good and well balanced. The stroke adjuster is a doddle to use ,and at variants from 2.5 to 5.5 in stroke, the tasks you can tackle with this lovely tattooing tool are boundless. I can't imagine anyone who likes DDs not liking this one. A big thumbs up from me then.

hey peter are you using rubber bands, needle runners or a large oring on yours? I wanted to get one but I like to use orings on Direct drives and wonder if they fit the frame shape.

(http://www.luckysupply.com/shop/form.asp?listid=20&pid=781)I'm wondering, what do you lot think? Regarding O-rings,if you haven't got them dead right,if they're just a tadge too small, surely you're putting a lot of stress on the motor, like attaching a brake pad.
