This is more of a prerelease note than anything...

I have a new drop in system for the Vivace tattoo machines. It will be available in 3.5mm and a larger stroke, and will have a slow motor option. This new system does add some foward weight to the machine, but adds a smoothness and drive that I think artists will find very enjoyable.

Currently I have my 12 artists who test things for me....working with them..... my "control group" to say, plus about 8 others working with them too. The response has been very positive! I have seen stipling and dotting work that will blow you away. have an artist that is doing tight dotted lines, along with amazing shading.....with the same machine. I am very happy with the results!

Some of the artists do contribute to this forum, and may speak up about it.....don't know

Hope to have these soon, maybe by the Arizona Expo in May. Just trying to setup and learn my new 8 axis Tsugami machine.....so I can make the silly parts.

Wow.....I just make a machine. I didn't think I was a standard.

For years I could not sell my machines. I almost gave it all up....thru in the towel so to speak.

You don't know what it meant to me when a big name machine builder said to me......to my face....."you Are a world class machine builder" it just blew me away! I never thought I would ever be shit! in this biz.

The cartridge won't cost much more than the standard ones. Have to see what the manufacturing costs are and go from there. I will keep it reasonable.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's glad you didn't give up and are still around.
And your humbleness goes a long way in my book.. I think most people on this forum will agree ... Considering some resent posts .
Do you have any planes for additional colors? For the vivace?

Love your machines RJdadio, I picked up one of your brass machines at the Detroit convention. Used it that day back at the shop, also have a orange one too. Keep up the good work.

This is metal gray. I asked Ray to put a little magic in it for me. Note the engraving, haha. 17526

Ray do you still do runs of brass machines?

Probably best to call or email to inquire. There was mention on Facebook about the production schedule slowing down for right this moment. They are doing maintenance on machines. The machines that make the tattoo machines not the tattoo machines.

Usually i tend to see a dozen or so brass machines for sale at the neotat booth at conventions.

I have to tell you that I have one of these "magic" cartridges 3.5mm in a brass Vivace and I can get this to run slower than I will ever need to go. I like my color packers to run at speeds that just about defy the range a coil machine can reach so this thing is a dream to me. I solid filled a big coi fish on a friends arm at the Mesa, AZ show in about 4 hours. That is fast for a guy that is only tattooing a dozen or so times a year right now. It felt a little strange to be seeing 12v on the Critical power supply but Ray told me that equates to his standard motor running at just below 5V and we all know that they do not like to do that with any real torque. Kudos to Ray on the new cartridge and Thanks for letting me play with it!!!

this like a high torque 24volt motor?

When I spoke to them at the WWTC in Boston, they explained to me that the main difference is the crank wheel. It is larger and made of brass. They told me that they sent it out to a bunch of their artists and they all responded that they loved it but they couldnt figure out why, lol. I ordered one, since they sold out on the first day of the conference and have been using it as my daily driver for lining since it came in. I love it.

I picked up a red Vivace 3.5, with the "magic wheel" at the paradise tattoo gathering this weekend. Haven't used it yet. But I can say that Ray and his wife are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and straight-up pros. In excited to give it a whirl!

The cost difference ended up only being $25 more than a standard motor cartridge, how about amazing? Additional colors and designs will always be coming out,
always! keep your eyes peeled, I just saw something in the coloring today that I cannot wait to reveal, all in good time!
