Been lurking here for a couple weeks and I have to say this forum is an outstanding wealth of information and support. Glad to see a tattoo discussion site that isn't over run with know-it-all's and tough guys.

Seems to be the norm on other tattoo sites for folks to dismiss others with an insult or the old "ask your mentor" line. So thanks everyone for being better than that.

I've been tattooing for 5 years in Tucson AZ. I've apprenticed under two shop owners and am currently mentoring my second apprentice. My first apprentice is Jessa Huebing-Reitinger, an amazing artist who oil paints realistic portraits of bugs. You should check out her website:

Her and I are both using Neumas, however, I'm making the push towards rotary after seeing amazing work being done by an old co-worker of mine (Carl Grace) (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Carl-Grace-Tattoos/136210206444863) with Bishops. Currently own the Dragonfly short stroke, the Neotat short and standard, and Neuma 1 and 2. Saving up for a Stigma.

I like oil painting, Magic the Gathering, old punk rock, and reading this forum.

Welcome, I also dig on oil painting, MTG, and old punk. Im bidding on some Jace cards on ebay while I draw up a tattoo. Now just get yourself a Rotary Works for that long stroke!
