What is the biggest advantage of one over the other? They look very nice. I think one benefits in being closed ( cleaner ) and the other is open and easier to do maintenance. Or did I miss the punch all together and the closed one is a system more like a neotat with give ( sorry for referencing another machine ). Just trying to understand. They both look very nice.

I have made them very similar and they both have adjustable cams and adjustable give with 5 springs from soft to hard. You can change the stroke on the MR01 with out removing the motor body but not on the MR02

I see the crank one has a large brass flywheel-does it make better for linework?
Also how is the volume level as compared to your older models?
