Red Rats losing grip..

I have a ton of SS 1" knurled grips for shading and coloring and the tapered black red rats are losing their grip. To the point where a few of them are sliding on me mid tattoo and driving me insane. I was wondering if any of you have a remedy to fix this without replacing them? And of course nothing that involves tape, as that's just going to turn into a big nasty mess quickly.

Put the Redrat on the grip, and then put on a couple of O rings, obviously the right size for a tight fit.

Try turning them inside out. Just a guess it quite possibly not work but it is easy to try. If that doesn't work, buy more. Although peter does sound like he has a good idea.
