Rapier 2
Just recieved my new Rapier 2... I used Neumas when they first came out and sold them very quickly, honestly I wasn't expecting much outta the Rapier 2. What a fantastic machine!!! I've used it three times now with color, twice for black and grey and lined once with it. It packs like a dream but somehow his soft enough for some smooth as butter black and grey. I didnt like it to line with because of the lack of weight but have really enjoyed using this machine... I you haven't yet go pick one up... Will defiantly be ordering more in the future!!

So, what voltages seem to work for you for different tasks?
-
Honestly I don't pay attention to voltage. I listen, feel and watch how the skin reacts. I dont ever want to be caught in the situation where I feel useless without a readout... I'll take some notes though and post em later in the week if it helps...

5-5.5 for black and gray 6-6.5 lining and 6-7 for color. I use 13 mag bullet taper 9 mag bugpin,13-15 mag bugpin for color and black and gray. I line with 5-7 round liners to line with. All are easily done with these settings and needles.

I used a 15 bugpin mag at 6.89 - 7.3 volts and it worked perfectly for black and grey on the super stretchy skin right below the ribs...

I have only used my Rapier twice for lining only. I was using an 8rs and a 7rl and was running at 8 volts. But I find I run my stuff a little higher than most.

I know my machine was humming when I lined with it... at one point it was around 9 volts... I did use it with a 11 bugpin for packing solid color today and it packed wonderfully at 6.5ish volts...
