are there any threads on cleaning machines in ultrasonic cleaners?
Don't quote me on this but I have heard that ultrasonic machines with heat can destroy aluminum, so if your frame is an aluminum one, you might damage it.
I'd check with the manufacturer to see if it's ok or not.

If you use alkanox ( spelling ) in your ultrasonic it will eat aluminum. I don't advice putting any machine in an ultrasonic. Paint can get taken off too.
Sorry off topic but Alkanox is amazing for cleaning certain glass *Ahem* vases and such...
