SWEET! im sure that hits hard.
woah...
What happens when the motors get out of sync?
Aw man he beat me to it, I have a pair tiny motors that would work perfectly. The dual motor design has been used very successfully in RC car use, no problems with loosing sync as they are on a matched drivetrain, like two guys working an oar together they naturally sync.
Other than looking sweet, are there any benefits to dual motor?
Quicker acceleration would possibly be one, not really sure as this is the first I've seen built and who knows how it might differ.I'm sure it must work well enough or else P.C. wouldn't have shown it off. I'm going to (eventually) build one but with the motors vertical on either side of the needlebar to move the weight as centered as possible.
Makes me think of relay machines that have three coils...
Another machine that's got loads of Dragonfly bits n bobs on it.
