Stigma Hyper V2 give modification

This was a small simple mod that I tried on my my V2 and I really like it. It allows a bit easier adjustment, and the screw stays in place...I had some phantom moving of the screw before. It also has a small bit of spring for the give rather than just the free play. I used a 3/8 length from the flint spring in a disposable lighter. so the spring is from a lighter. i got that , now where the hell does the other spiral piece come from exactly from a bike? and does it come like that?

It's a cone spring from a bike wheel quick release.
