Took the plunge!!

Hey everyone, I'm new here and still super new to rotaries. I picked up my first a few weeks ago. a 2.5mm Neotat. I have been loving it so far but decided I want something with a bit more stroke for whip shading and color packing. So after reading as much as I could find here. I've been hemming and hawing back and forth between a Mini Cranker, Impact, or Vivace. After debating with myself for hours I decided I already had a linear slide rotary and I would try something different so I broke down and ordered a Mini Cranker from Dan yesterday. Talked with Dan a bit and he seemed really nice and listened to me and answered a few noobie questions. Cant wait to get it!!! I'll post picks of it when I get it and try to post some picks of my Neotat when I figure out how lol

Welcome and you cant go wrong with dan-swell guy that makes a good machine....

I run both those machines daily, they are great all around machines!!

Right on guys, should I expect a bit more vibration out of the Mini Cranker? In my head the linear style seems that it would have way less vibration and my Neotat runs so smooth. And here is another noob question. What style of rotary is the Mini Cranker considered, I understand the linear slide and the direct drive, sorry if its a dumb question I'm still learning the rotary lingo lol

It's an armature bar rotary as far as I'm concerned. I just got mine and I love it. Runs really smooth and sounds sweet! I have the 4mm stroke for lining and color. Haven't used it on color yet but it pushes big groupings.

The crankers are very smooth and vibration free, probably both because of the steel frame and the well refined design.

Can't go wrong with the cranker. I use mine daily. Best liners out there.

Cranker and neotat are both in my daily useage set up.

I have a severe critisism of crankers......they're ADDICTIVE!
