I found new love and I do mean love for my NeoTat 2.5 today. I was running a tight 3rl and it was like rediscovering and old friend. You are right in every way. NeoTat is one of the great workhorses of our industry. I need a long stroke too now. Thanks for the great review.

People sometimes forget what they have, or more importantly what it can do......The Grass isn't always Greener.

Is the long 3.5 best for lining then as my usual supplier states to go for the shorter 2.5? I think im going to invest once i get your advice :-)

I like the 2.5 for fineline 1-4 and black n grey work and for soft blended color work. the 3.5 for 5-9liner ,color work & dark blacks and the 4.2 for liners 11-18,built up lines and solid fill areas and whip shading. but they can all really do it all with practice-I just find those the best.

3.5MM-4.2MM is the Stroke which I would run for a Liner, I simply adjust the tube tip to suit my line depth......I prefer to have the option of a longer stroke, then shorten it, than find myself with a fixed 2.5MM.

The 2.5 is good for 3round and smaller grouping. I have lined 7s and 5s with it but you must run off the tube with almost zero needle hang.

Agree with Owls. Skin snags like crazy if you try and run off the needle with the 2.5.
