It's a SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!!! Hahah!
I'm loving the prodigy this machine is a do it all, lines, blends, and packs amazing. I have the adjustable stroke excenters for both of them, yeah I got two lol guess what color they are? Haha. I also found with the internal give post horizontal instead of vertical she has a quiet hum instead of a buzz. The give is like a hyper v3 and an inkjecta s3 had a baby. I'm loving these guys.
Me too mick!
I must admit i prefer the Beast more than the Prodigy!...Dont get me wrong the Prodigy is a great machine but its no better than any other adjustable give machine out there..The great thing is i may be able to trade my Prodigy body for a Beast body !
The more I use the prodigys the more I'm realizing how different the give system is. It closer to a soft coil shader than my inkjectas with a longer throw. Its literally the best range of give I have ever used. I did a black an grey piece today with super soft give just effortlessly and it was so powder and smooth I was like nice!!! Clincher was when I was breaking down I realized I grabbed the one set to a 4mm stroke instead of 3mm!, I was like no fucking way!! I setup 3mm with no give for black and grey usually but I figured id play with the give to really mimic a soft coil shader and with this give I was able to just layer and layer and build up with tones so even and smooth and all with the wrong damn stroke length.
I thought I was gonna be able to skate by and pass on the beast because I have quite a few no give machines and DD's but with the feedback people are giving on them it looks like my 4 more machines just became 6 more. I blame all of you for me having to eat top ramen tonight. Lol
where is everyone getting the prodigy from, i was gonna order through national but they are sold out
^^ every where is sold out only thing i can find is a pink beast @ killer ink....
You will probably have to wait until the second shipment to killer ink homie.
Got my nuclear green prodigy on thursday and I really like it so far. I still have to get used to the give system though. The last stigma I'm familiar with is the bizarre v2, so the jump to the prodigy was quite a big one. Just how soft does this thing get? With the bizarre it was easy, like two full turns of the give knob max. With the prodigy however, there seems to be a lot of stuff going on waaaay beyond two turns :).
I think it's a little louder than other rotaries but cartainly not noisy enough to annoy me. Much of its noise seems to come from the cap on the give knob. Is the internal give post supposed to have a little horizontal play? Like it follows the give knob when you turn it a little, without turning far enough to actually change the give? I'm just curious, because the noise reduces when you hold the cap in place while the machine runs.
