Direct Drive for dotwork?

Has anyone tried to use a needle runner or some kind of needle tensioner with a dd yet?

I LOVE my Dan Kubin DD

I have an amoeba designs dd on the way and I will post a review after I get some time with it.

This might be a little late but the HM DD has an adjustable stroke. Would give ya some options to see what works better for you. stroke wise atleast.
