I made a similar design but with slider. I would Try using a smaller motor like a 21600 from maxon.

I was siked on this design till I saw that last pic. Whats up with the smiley face? yuck. I like the casing of the old one. im also not a fan of that sparkly coil cover. Anyone else agree with me here?
whats the price on this with shipping to the US ?
ahahaha... spooner your funny... yeah, that smiley face was just a trip... and its a a smile for perfection. we just had this machine run perfect, smooth with a roller on the driver abar... and it has a manual adjustable stroke length. yes, we offer custom motor covers that can be done using a drill. intro price is $370 with free shipping to US with lifetime warranty. :) it will be launched in an international convention by august here in the philippines.
also we will not use this sparkling covers anymore. we are coming with plain color covers or we can comeup with a different cover. :)
nice! than I back to excited and really interested to hear some reviews. anyone here getting one? I just bought a springer from Dan Kubin and am waiting for my bishop, so Im gonna wait another month or so before getting anything else.

I like the face-looks like a robot. Regarding motor cover, I've no doubt you can have what you want, same as Franco does with the Bishop. It'd be nice to see a clipcord adaptor for the machine.
this is one sample of the anodized version with plain motor cover... Attachment 3315
thanks peter. yeah i have to comeup with a clipcord option on our new build, we will definitely see rotars in clipcord. :) what is more preferable? Both with RCA and Clipcord or optional RCA/Clipcord? :)
Personally I'm a fan of the dual clip/rca. Gives more options in a pinch also if you want to let a friend try it or if/when the time comes to sell you'll have more buyers interested.
yeah, maybe a lot better, thank u... :)
I'm finding that most machines are better suited for one thing purpose over the other even if you can technically do everything with it. What would you say is the best thing for this machine shading coloring or lining?
right now it is best for lining and color... but it can also work good with shading as you can adjust the stroke length manually... soon when the advance rotar will come, it will have so many new and useful features... :)

Looks really nice rotar! It's cool how similar our machines are, any complaints about its length?
thanks cyber. yeah they are almost same in proportion. . . about the length it works well as it has a perfect balance. the little weight on top helps carry your work without putting pressure on every tattoo. its just like tattooing with a pen. :)

here's a pic of the legendary lord rotar
Hahaha! I like that it has a happy face.
praise lord rotar ,praise lord rotar! for he bring us art and less hand cramps!
yes the length has a big issue with the balance of the machine in our hands. Im sure yours feels really simular in balance aswell. Nice machining, do you have a hook up or does it not cost alot to make in the philippines? Its not cheap out in Southern California thats for sure...
It is just perfectly balanced though. but im trying to change the RCA to the side since RCA jacks and cords are sometimes big and it adds weight on top of the machine. You might be carrying the weight of the cord on top, so i think i have to transfer it on the back side. The machining cost a lot too even if my uncle owns the machine shop. And we get our aluminum 7075 material from the US. Shipping costs high too. http://www.rotarmachine.webs.com/images/rotar111.jpg
When I made the housing for mine I was scrapping more aluminium then I was using and wasn't going to be cost effective, die casting cost to much to refine the parts. I like plastics though, they absorb sound and vibration really well. I need a uncle like that :( nice work rotar, I put you on my trade list.
looks potentially to be the next big thing...build it the way you want, you cant make everyone happy.
thanks man. even if i did not intend to be the next big thing, but definitely i would love to see my progress as time goes by...
Any news? The website still says coming soon. I would love to hear an update.
