ok one of 'them' answers no problem pal thanks for your input
Its an Autobot :)
Nicely done.
yeah i was thinking the same thing(autobot) just didn't see the misrepresentation diminish the quality of the piece so I let it slide, lol.
I want to se a bunch of lesser known transformers done in the future, like beast wars type shit, megatron transforming into the gun, or the destructicons in full form, lol. im 36yrs old so I lived the transformers early on in their development. very dear to my heart subject matter. I always wanted the autobots/destructicons symbols tatted on the backs of my hands but waited too long(which im greatful) because once the movies hit they were everywhere. but I am still going to get an original transformer piece in some form or another to represent the impact they had on my childhood. probably more of a traditional-esque representation to coin the time period in which I was impacted. in any event, I love seeing transformer tattoos, next tattoo I get will be probably that or some thundercats! lmao.
You did all that with 3rl needles? Even the colour?
Bullet bg does a lot of crazy work with small liners it's not uncommon I'm pretty sure dmitry samohin uses a lot of small stuff too. At any rate very cool piece can't wait to see it finished off.
id love to hear an explination of the technique of saturating color like this with a 3rl. ive tried in a few of my pieces a while back using a neotat and also tried using a small round shader with a shawk spirit and in a few places the ink fell out on these pieces. ive only had it work well for me once . otto , ur tattoos have the "look" im trying to achieve but cant figure it out lol.
i will definatly try this otto. also are u using alot of give or no give? and how are u going about blending one color into the next. with a mag i usually leave the edge of the color field only 30% saturated then i mix in the tube the next color and whip out from there.
thanks for the private msg otto im gonna try this out on my leg today :D
any progress on this dude?
i finished it a while ago Attachment 23577
I would love to hear more about your technique too otto ! What did you say to CajunDave ? ;-)

the truth is that this is more a feeling thing,i do not think that is so important or it makes a big difference, since the beginning i loved to work with small round grouping becouse is similar to pencil drawing, what i do.i was never a painter guy,so for me this works best.is the same thing like with magnums, but the needle is smaller
Thanks otto, I would love to see more of your work, so don't hesitate to post more !

amazing and you know that shit will heal saturated as fuck putting it all in with a liner i too think thats samohins secret
Yes maybe, Samohin seems to tattoo with a pencil

I think samohin uses small rounds and small magnums. theres a video on youtube of him tattooing an owl with what looks like a 7 mag
Great work.
