In mine the capacitor comes covered with the black thermoretractable tape, also I think the back binder has the hole trrough the whole binder like the front one. the tensioner is not from that machine and the engraving looks so horrible , but all those things can just be different from one year to another.
I would say no. I have had one and worked with guys that hold them like there kids and they took a look and said the same thing.

Thanks for the replies. He has the original vise. It is identical to the other. He put the needle tensioner.
Also, back binder does have hole all the way through on both. So just the capaciter tape looks wrong? Im no expert on these. but the seam to be quality aside from being a litter "used'

the COILS on the liner are not the ORIGINAL,
from CHINA now comout some fake M S very well done, actually the original is not anymore a quality machines, not same before, MICKEY SHARPZ lost his quality long time ago
I haven't purchased and probably wont. But maybe the pictures aren't the best. They are definitely cast. And the coils on both machines appear to be the same. Capacitors and soldering are the same but one 8 wrap the other is 10.
the best way to find out is probably to just call micky shapz company and see if the numbers and shit are right, they'd be able to tell you lil things about the machine that make them authentic.

I called them a couple of years back when I had a similar issue.. Sent them some photos and got a reply in less than an hour.. Fake point blank.. Needless to say I was glad I didn't buy.. Yeah give them a call, they're a helpful bunch.Quote:

Yes, very speedy responce. Gotta admit that i almost got bamboozled. I guess i just wanted to believe that they were real. never owned a sharpz. Ill stick to my V3's

notimeforfakes. I got a set of the real deal Liner and Shader MS with authentic paperwork. Bought them from Micky Sharp USA many years back but only use them a few times and put away. If you are interest i will sale them to you for cheap.

They may be. Tough to say from the pictures. Can you take close ups of all the engravings. I've owned a ton of Sharpz machines over the years. These are either legit or very very good copies.
fake.capasitors frond and rear binding posts screws vicetubes are not original.t-dial shaders frame looks bulky and microdial has dimentions of bronze microdial while this is iron.engravings are like shit and on t dial the signiture is misplaced.date is at the side of the belly ,this one doesnt have.overall throw it in the trash
