i like the name rotar. i can picture it saying "Rotar angry" or "Rotar hungry". or a bunch of people worshiping Rotar in some crazy temple where they offer human sacrafices to it.

this looks alot better then the prototype,i like the looks of the chuck! what is the motor voltage range and is it swiss etc.?

Sounded more like a He-Man Character to me.
But seriously the machine looks interesting though it does seem a bit tall.

reminds me of swashdrive with a vertical motor. japanese motor? not too educated on those. i know the swiss knock it out of the park...ie. stigma, dragonfly (maxon motors). looks interesting and super lite. i like light, but the lighter they get the more i have to push on darker pigments and the ever feared elephant skinned humans. i wonder if the rca off the top would be annoying or actually help. HAIL TO THE ROTAR GODS! LOL

hi, i will post videos soon, once we have anodized the machines. no price yet... you can customize colors for the frame and components and you can customize the cuts of the motor cover, it must be round holes going up and down, sideways and diagonal. . . 1 week for the custom job. thanks - undone website at http://www.rotarmachine.com - it will be up when the colored rotars are done.

hi, thanks, the RCA at the back helps since it is away from the machine thus the wires will not disturb you while at work... also these japan motors are of lifetime warranty. very durable. the little weight of the motor helps put pressure on your work and it will provide your hands an effortless work...

Looks cool not sure I like the screw on the bottom of the chuck but I will keep an eye on this one. Though to be honest Its going to be real hard to put down the dragonflys long enough to try a new machine.

thanks, the screw at the bottom at the back provides a perfect balance for the machine, it can stand if u put it in a surface. also it can also work to rest the machine on your finger and if you do not use it to rest your finger, it is right enough to be ergonomic still... another new one to work with. : ]

is this going to run like the older swashdrives as i notice there is no clip-is there a bearing in the needle mount area? as that had a lot of problems.

no, we will not use this guide, we just created 2 to test out. we have come up with a different guide. . . only 2pcs built for this... and our next guide would be new. we have to lessen the sound. . . :) thank you . . .

Inverted swash...interesting. This does look a lot better than the proto posted before.
Nothing for rubber bands/elastics? Not to sure about the vertical RCA, unless one had a right angle cord.

thanks rattydaddy, i havent seen the old proto posted here before. this is made to match with needle runners. i can make a new frame with rubber band stay if its really necessary... the rca on top helps keep the cord away from your work. . . :) here is the first prototype we made.

My 2cents: don't alienate potential customers. Add something for rubber bands, even if it's a add-on that can be removed if not wanted.

thanks for that good and important thing to consider again rattydaddy. :) sure thing im gonna add a stay for the rubber band. some frames may have no stay and some may have... thanks again :) i appreciate a lot. . .

Any chance you'd have a dual (clipchord/rca) version?

Indio, well, maybe i come up with a dual connection... right now it is optional for RCA and clipcord but i will try to make a way where to position the dual... thanks, great input. . . :)

for elastics couldnt you almost just dremmel to grooves in the back just above the vise handle? then just double up the one elastic around instead of using 2 elastics? seems like a simple little mod that could be made into another decorative yet practical function almost like those purple predator grips with all the groves to have an elastic close to the needle grouping

and i gotta say i really dig the look of the proto type too but i like the looks of the more rugged style than the stream line

This looks like a really interesting machine. Can't wait to see the video of it in action.

thanks all... yeah what i have in mind is just a grove or trim in the stand to hold the rubberbands... wonderful input. yeah i really have to post some video very very soon. its almost coming. thanks a lot. . . :)

it looks like it has a very short stroke. what are the specs.
Is the swash plate anchored to a bearing after making connection (to stabilize it and protect the axel) or is just clamped from the motor axle?
