Here's a painting I have recently finished(ish), not the usual thing for here I know. It's my third shot with oil paint, around 25 hours in it. Sorry if the subject matter isn't to everyones taste. Waddya fink??

Wow, very nice
nice work , loving the moody sky . . . i need to do more with oils
Holy shit that's awesome. Badass!
Cheers guys. Oils can be frustrating to work with, allowing for drying when necessary but is a great switch away from the tattoo machine precision (until you get to detailing). I've heard someone describe the painting process as pulling the image from the canvas as if it's already there, the paint just slowly brings it to focus. Could be hippy talk though.
looks great.the clouds really set the mood
Subject matter? Dude, it's art...love seeing it!

Thing of beauty!
Great work.
Been off the grid mostly recently, so a belated "Many Thanks" for the positive comments. It has had a few tweaks and is off tomorrow with a couple of others for submission to an exhibition taking place in July. Fingers crossed something gets accepted, no biggie if nothing does it's just a hobby.
I'd hang this in my home and look at it every day and love it every time I looked at it - sweet !
Nicely done.
Wahay!! It's been accepted along with a pencil piece, the only downside is that it's in the gallery basement until the exhibition in July.
