This is not the Give spring, this is the return spring
The give spring is hiding in the back of the GiveKnob/ shaft. The spacer goes in front of the give spring.

Yes as Gaston mentioned, Removing the spring on most rotary machines will allow more power to push the TTECH system. Reason is you don't need a spring when using the TTECH cartridges as the rubber band in the cartridge acts like a spring, so using a spring plus a TTECH cartridge will work twice as hard against the motor and its designated torque. Just my 2 cents :)
