I just got a stigma hyper 3, and it says it polarity protected? i re soldered my clipcord and now it works, and my other rotaries still work too, but is it hazardous to the other motors to switch it up like that?

nope. at least i never heard of
It can shorten the life of an electrical motor reversing the direction of spin
my stigma will only run when the clip cord is correctly set. are the newer ones not set up this way? also why did u have to solder your clip cord ?
F
but this isnīt for brushed motors Sage?
I use the RCA jack
You should buy a RCA cord. They have some nice ones for just under $10 from Eikon. Then you can use the RCA for all of your rotary machines.
yes, i had to resolder the rca clipcord.
I think that is where the confusion is coming from. When you said clipcord in the beginning & now again, everybody is thinking a power cord w/ clips on the end(a clipcord) not a power cord w/ a RCA jack on the end. I can't imagine that it would give your other rotaries any problems now that you have re-soldered it.
Lol...wasn't a clipcord?

Get the 90 degree right angle rca cord from al brodeur not only is it the best rca you can buy and will last a lifetime but also the 90 degree bend right off the rca on the already vertical style frame keeps it perfectly balanced and doesn't extend the weight off the back of the machine like a clipcord or even regular rca does one thing I really hate is when you have a machine that's say 4-5 inches long or whatever then your cord extends it longer especially some stiff clip cords ruining the balance all together. Get a 90 degree rca fromnal bro you will not be dissapointed when your tattooing a collare bone and your cord is no longer hitting your customer in the chin etc
word thanks.i just have noticed thats all the motors seem to turn in the other direction now... was wondering if it was bad for em or not
I understood you should make sure the motor runs clockwise. Any truth to that?
