ive always been a b+g realism artist but since i started tattooing ive been trying to do things out of my element. we get alot of people who come in who dont know what they want so im working on a "tattoo ideas" book of all custom originals. forcing myself to do these all in color, ive dont about 30 so far. heres one im working on today! gonna play with it a little bit more tomorrow. lemme know what u guys think!

It's really nice and well fleshed out. I like the contrast, from a healthy use of black.
The lower wings look a bit stiff in contrast to the top. Maybe a slight curve to the wings would help.
yes, looks good- my only suggestions is to make sure your contour lines in the foreground are at least as heavy as the background ones, i think if you fatten up the lines around the flowers- they'll pop out a lot more.

Quite nice, I'd suggest in addition to curving the bottom wings(too late now lol) and adding some more line weight is the two leaves next to the skull bug me because they aren't lined and colored like the others they seem ackward. Other than that this is kickass!
thanks for all the feedback, this is definatly a new style to me so this feedback is very helpful :) i agree with curving the bottom wings a bit but i also wanted them to stand apart from the wings behind them alot. same with the leaves that curl over the skull i want them to stand out over the rest. they were lined but the color pencil in this photo had smeared over the lines i gotta redo um. one thing i hate about the color pencils....saving for the marker set :) i was gonna bold line the edges of the roses but they are so bright and colorful compared to the rest of the elements i figured they stood out enough already? thoughts...
Yeah really those leaves just look out of place to me and without explaination being all minty, I think they would stand out plenty already on their placement and contrast alone. But that's just artistic choice I guess...
im finishing another one up right now ill post it inna bit so i can get some feedback on it as well. same style
