Special Technique axis 2013

We are very excited about the new Axis 2013 model:

So, what's new?

Swiss motor
Balanced flywheel
silicon yoke for dampening
Large overbuilt a-bar bearing


The result is near zero vibration, runs very silent, and has perfect dampening.. The Axis line of machines has become a very mature product and is extremely consistent . A true all around machine that lines with startling accuracy yet will drive large mags with ease.

They are currently available in aircraft aluminum and brass, in either RCA or clip contacts, No doubt there will be a few one off models in carbon fiber, copper, titanium..

Good to hear that the silicone dampening stuff works out for you!

Stroke can be set to any you desire but I require notice upon order, Standard stroke is 3.5mm but I do build several with my personal favorite 3.8mm

Yes, Lefty is no problem, I have both left handed chucks and the frame as well is moved to the opposite side so the cord stays out of your way..

We have been trying to keep cost reasonable but the new motor is a bit pricey.. They are $495.00 with free shipping..

Im intrested in the brass one could that be converted to clipcord

I can convert a clip to RCA but not the other way around... Good news is, I have a brass in clip version in testing right now...

These new ones look so sleek and refined, freaking beautiful. I gotta sell something...

LoL, they are very light, I lost one in my shirt pocket for a while, didn't know it was there...

I have bearings that are shielded that can be used by request, very easy to swap out.

got to try my aluminum version out the other day, very functional instrument to work with, I like it.

Can you explain if these are dd or give.. or dampened... curious... pleass explain

@crab..... These are Precision Tools, very precise for Lining, and drop the V's and it has slight dampening for colour work, they run fast even on low v's, so handspeed is the Key.....If this was a Knife, it would be a Scalpel.

very curious to find out how this machine works. please explain in greater detail why the motor is facing the opposite way, and the reasons for this design. Pros and cons .
