Hey just a quick one, which way should thr maxon motor dpin? Clockwise or anti? Thanks.
pretty sure maxons are meant to spin counter clock wise
Nice one thanks
no problem, i have a few DD's with maxon's and the builders said to run em counter clockwise, so i wood assume the maxon for the bishop wood be the same
does not changing/switching the clippy connection change the spinning direction of the motor?
Or is this not the case with Maxon motors?
yes it does change the way they spin
I thought the bishop has a diode that lets the current only go in one direction?

goodday ;)
the maxon , escap and faulhaber motors run CLOCKWISE not counterclockwise that will eat the brushes more (is what maxon stated)
maybe the clocks spin in a different direction across the pond.lol
hahahaha :)
no it doeesnt :)
well i'm not saying this or that
but ive got good contacts over at maxon ,falhauber and escap
if they tell me it's clockwise , then i believe em
i prefer to listen to company's producing the product , then someone using it to make something of it :)
just my to cents ;)
Top man thank you
ive had so many different answers to this question and so many good explanations to the answers that its become hard to believe anybody anymore lol, I just run it both ways and whatever way works better for me is the way it gets run.
if u run it counter clockwise , the brushes-lifespan is shorted drasticly...
as for the direction , if u use clipcord connections , just put a multimeter / voltmeter between and look for the positive negative connection
you will see if u connect it the right way , ull see the voltages going trough it , if not you see a - in front on the display
if u run it the normal way with this in mind, you will see in what direction the motor turns ;)
Mine won't run if I have my clip cord in the wrong way :)
what kind of machine , what motor ?...
