why not put a needle bar nipple on the sled and make the slot for the needle bar so you do not have to cut the bar and keep sterile wire cutters laying around , seems like a pain in the ass

i do not think weight factors into the quality equation . i have had heavy and light machines that were very well made with quality parts , both coil and rotary . i think it comes down more to design...
