Just found out 3.6mm throw.
Just came up on one from a buddy that won one from a raffle at an event, reminds me of the Stingray, with a slower motor, was able to line with it pretty nice.
Curious though, I cant find anymore...
Does it have a lot of torque on the low volts? Looks great.

So here's the current rotation
My heavy liner being the Scribe 4.2, every thing between a single and a nine with the Stingray (regular and x2), shading and color packing with the Bishop 3.5...
Yup. For individual dots, I like using a coil machine for some reason.
But I like to slow the machine down and "shade" with it with the rotary.
If you slow the machine down enough and move your hand quick it creates an oblong dot. Done it on a dan kubin direct drive, a rr, and a luca mamone. I prefer linear action with rca.
PM'd you.
Also how are Halo's for dots? Do they have the torque at low volts?
Ah yes, I should look into this! Gotta love the forums,
So far I have my eyes on the Swash Compact, A rapier III, and now the Sinner.
I was just checking them out on Kingpin's website.
I would prefer a linear machine, I like to use 3's and I hear things about dots being oblong cause of how slow the machines go.
So, I've been using a great wave irons direct drive to make dots, ended up switching to a stealth lite (but I hate the fact that its a knock off) so pretty much what I'm looking for is a machine that...
Well, so I ended up grabbing a used Stingray (not the x2)
Probably my favorite liner, (possibly ever, if those damn coils could stay in tune) beating the stylus H, and my scribe 4.2.
It puts in...
I wonder why? I just picked up a regular Stingray, should have it in a few days.
A few of us in the shop use welkers, 3.8. Mostly for shading, my only advice is use a hard rubber nipple, place the needle on it, then pull it up a little against the needle runner so it fits nice...
Ive used a welker, a bishop, stealth lite, great wave dd, luca mamone dd, stylus h, stigma hyper and currently using a 4.2mm scribe rotary.
I was curious about what people thought of the stingray...
How's the difference between the pen and epitat? Especially for lining?
Yeah, the more I use the 1/8 the more I like it. I really am enjoying the scribe, but I have not had a chance to shade with it just yet.
I just saw the 1/8 converter for clip cord at Kingpin, how about one for RCA? I accidentally bought a stereo to mono, and that didnt work.
I still use clip cord, and rca, for the majority of my machines. For instance, I still enjoy switching and using my Stylus H, and I also use coil machines a lot, I guess I could just switch cords...
The build feels a little frail, but I think thats cause Im used to all metal machines, I just lined with it, and so far so good, though I am sending it back to get an RCA, I dont have enough machines...
I got it, it thumps really nice for such a small machine, though I might have to send it back to get the RCA instead of the 1/8
What voltages are you running it at?
Just sent an email, I would love to try this, ever since I started using lighter rotaries, I just never wanted to use anything else.
Just ordered mine. A 4.2 with the 1/8 jack. Super excited, been waiting to get one for a while.
How well does it line? I really enjoy using my stylus H, but I need a little more power for lining, and being able to use tubes and standard needles.
