Looks like Carson Hill is coming out with a new neuma pen machine. It runs a motor (not air) and he’s hinting at having something unique going on with the stroke cam. It looks pretty smooth.
I’m...
Out of the machines you listed, I think your best bet would be a Flite. Multiple stroke cams and adjustable give bars make it more versatile than the others you mentioned. And I’ve yet to hear any...
Are they available? Last I checked their website, it said coming soon.
Thanks for the reply, man. I ended up getting one in trade. Definitely feels like a step up from the first version. Sorry to hear about the troubles with yours. I hope you get it sorted.
I do exactly that. I don’t use my stylus for everything. So, it’s not a big deal. And I need to be able to sleep at night. So I’m not going to cut corners with my or my clients safety.
I think if the machine’s interior is accessible and able to be disinfected properly, it’s not a problem. The Stylus is a good example. Grips are autoclaved, one screw to pull the motor off the body...
Yes, not using membrane carts can get back spray into the machine itself. The Stylus and Nedz pens are easily disassembled and can (and should) be sanitized regularly. Grips NEED to be sterilized,...
I'm thinking of picking up an Evader2. Haven't heard much about these yet. I've used every version of Mike's machines. So, I'm familiar with how they tattoo. Anyone have any reviews on this one?...
Unfortunately, I haven't found a disposable grip that works with the brush's give bar. The inner diameter is too small. It works amazingly well with the swashdrive grips. But only those grips. I use...
This might help, as well.

Thanks, man. I already ordered a box and they do fit.
I went ahead and ordered a box and yes, they do fit the kwadron equalizer proton pen. Not an exact fit. But they seem to work fine. Yes!
I ended up getting a 3.5mm to try out. As my 4mm seem a little too powerful for blending and softer shading. And, holy shit! I can't put this thing down. It's amazing at everything! My new fave, for...
Okay. Sorry for the delay. ID is about 1cm, OD is about 1.5cm and thread count is 7 at about 1cm long.
Thanks, man. I'll check tomorrow.
I've used the stylus, kwadron and vanity pens. They're all really good. But I'd have to say I like the swashdrive brush over all of them. It's got all the perks of a high functioning pen plus you can...
I'd love to find some disposable grips for it though. It's annoying having to autoclave the two I have every day.
I think it's great! I use mine mainly for soft shading and color blending. But it lines and packs as well. Fits comfortably in the hand and is very well balanced.
Anyone know if the elite disposable grips fit the proton pen? The threading looks really similar.
It's easiest to just remember the further away from center the longer the stroke. So the closest hash mark to the center is the shortest stroke.
Anyone heard anything new about the InkMachines Scorpion pen? They were supposed to be released around Christmas. I saw a post that they had to make some changes and push the release date back a bit....
I've been using the 4mm fehu for a few weeks now. It feels and hits pretty similar to the Thunder but with the balance being more centered. Super sharp and precise lines. Packs color like a monster. ...
Yes, I know. I saw the same adjustable, "click" type , disposable grips on their website the other day.
Phucstyx supply (stupid name, I know) sells the same disposable, adjustable cart grips as NATS. They cost a little more but shipping is way cheaper. So, it kind of evens out.
