Please help me with my Stigma, Hyper V-3?

Ive got two of these bad boys and really love the one that works perfectly...So Ive go a problem with the adjustable give, it is sticking. I can have the "give" screwed out a bit and its not a smooth "give", It requires a bit more pressure to actuate the armbar and on the return it is sluggish too. Does anyone out there have any advice as to how I can get that adjustable give to work appropriately?

Check the outside and inside springs resistance, it may be a case of someone applying a bit more resistance on them by stretching them a bit, or try to change them with the ones from your other machine to see if the problem persist.

The spring may also have come loose and be sitting sideways or off kilter in the housing that the armature and give screw attach to
