    question is, is it really worth killing your coil machine to make it do what a direct drive would do? when you could simply buy a dd. I must have this misunderstood, it just seems a bit pointless right now...

    not all that pointless if you have a spare frame layin around, as I have like half dozen, lol. and If buying the dd motor/post would be in the right price range for conversion. just sayin
